Bauer’s time at North Penn cut short by fashion calling

TOWAMENCIN- North Penn High School principal Todd Bauer will be heading down a new career path this upcoming fall after receiving an irresistible offer. Upon showcasing his runway abilities at the “Secret Garden” fashion show here at North Penn, he was scouted by a Ralph Lauren representative to join the agency.

“I was completely taken aback when the representative approached me after the show. Though I do keep a small modeling portfolio handy in case of events such as these, I wasn’t expecting to be scouted right here at North Penn,” said Bauer.

This humbling opportunity has Mr. Todd Bauer trading in bell schedules for photo shoot call times starting next September. Though he will only have served as principal of North Penn High School for a year, the time he spent in the building was enriching.

“I love the atmosphere and energy that I am surrounded by every day when I come to this building. Having the chance to be a part of something so positive and successful was such a valuable experience and I cannot express enough how much it meant to me,” stated Bauer.

Embarking down this path will bring many new experiences into his life. Bauer plans to start with smaller, magazine photo shoots and hopefully work his way up to modeling some of the Winter Collection. Ralph Lauren expressed their eagerness to bring a fresh face on board who can also draw different community members to their fashion line.

“I remember when the first international Polo store opened in 1981 and it has been amazing watching the company grow,” said Bauer. “Getting to be a part of something so highly established is a once in a life time opportunity. I thank North Penn for all it has given me in my short time and wish my successor the best of luck. As for me, I’m off to New York to meet with CEO Stefan Larsson. But before I go I would like to leave everyone with some words of advice; always smile for the camera, you never know where opportunity can come knocking.”
