Top 8 reasons this election is a joke

Mikaela Mosley, Editor

1. The candidates spend more time throwing insults at one another than they do talking about how they are going to make change.

So… are you going to discuss policy or not?

2. People don’t really like either candidate.

People within the Republican party tried to block Trump from becoming nominee, and  many Bernie Sanders supporters hoped that Hillary wouldn’t secure enough super delegates.

3. The last three months have consisted of deep division between citizens of each party.

I thought this country was supposed to unite people of different backgrounds and beliefs, not encourage division amongst different parties.

4. There have been multiple scandals involving both of the candidates.

(i.e. taxes, emails, leaked recordings)

5. Trump attempted to gain African American votes by demeaning minority communities and sitting in on a service at a primarily black Baptist church.

6. Candidates like Chris Christie and Ben Carson made several attacks on Trump, then turned around and endorsed him.

That’s how politics work, right?

7. Hillary Clinton attempted to Whip and Nae Nae on stage with Ellen DeGeneres.

Perhaps, she should stick to politics?

8. A fly landed on Hillary Clinton’s face at the presidential debate.

Admit it, you kept rewinding the TV to determine if the fly actually landed on her or if it was just another stubborn housefly.
