Enjoying Mcdonald’s signature Shamrock Shakes.

April showers bring May flowers, but what does March bring? March brings worldwide favorite, The Shamrock Shake, from Mcdonald’s for a limited time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

To celebrate the start of March, my friends and I tried McDoanld’s most famous seasonal item, The Shamrock Shake. Although this was my first time having a Shamrock Shake, I knew to have high expectations.

Getting in and out of the restaurant was easy to get our shakes, but they were definitely in high demand. The people before and after us had both ordered the bright green treat. We enjoyed our shakes in the car and were confused by how they had melted within seconds of getting them. They were very liquidy, but the consistency was still very thick. They had a very minty taste and had a bright green color to them.

I personally don’t love the flavor of mint, so it already didn’t start out great for me. I had very high expectations, but I wouldn’t say it was my favorite because of the taste and how melted the shake was. The consistency was very nice for a milkshake, and the service was excellent at the speed they had them all prepared.

All in all, the experience was decent. If you’re someone who loves mint or festive drinks, then this would be right up your alley, but for me, it was a no. I definitely wouldn’t order it again, but It was nice to say that I have finally had one.
