Naf’s Burger Food Review

Naf’s Burger Food Review

The Montgomery Mall has been in a maelstrom of stores leaving or closing. The food court has turned into a place where people lounge with food that they bring instead of getting food there. But a small burger shop called Naf’s Burger chose to go against the grain and opened a new food spot on December 20th in the empty food court.

It’s a bold choice to open there when there are much better places to choose from that aren’t in the mall. And to find out if it’s a good bite, the Knight Crier tried out the food and will let you know if it’s worth it.

Cons-

The customer service was okay, the cashier was on his phone and not paying attention to the customer. The food came out quickly, but the temperature was lukewarm.

$6.99-Chili Loaded Fries – The fries were topped with a scoop of chili with a drizzle of their sauce on top. Maybe the worst thing on the menu, the chili was dry and not a good combination with the fries. Naf’s Burgers’ Chili Loaded Fries get a 1.5/10.

The Chicken sandwich with all the toppings. (Ian West)

$5.99-Chicken Sandwich – Came in a slightly toasted bun, slathered with sauce and came with pickles on top of the chicken and cooked onions on the bottom. The chicken piece that I got was pretty small for the price I paid for it. Naf’s Burgers Chicken Sandwich gets a 4.5/10

Pros-

$10.99-Philly Cheesesteak – It came in a 8-inch long roll and was filled well with beef. The beef was moist and the sauce added a nice tangy flavor to it. The roll was not cut in half so I had to rip it in half myself. Naf’s Burgers’ Philly Cheesesteak gets a 7.2/10

$8.49-Double Smash Burger – The burgers are juicy with great cheese but they weren’t too soggy. The buns could be better, potato, a sesame seed or brioche would elevate it. And the toppings add to the burger and not subtract. The sauce was the star of the show again, making up for the bun. 7.7/10

$2.75-Fries – The type of fries they have are the kind that can make a meal. Whether it is with BBQ, ketchup, or any other sauce. I would go to Naf’s just for the fries. 10/10

The price isn’t that expensive when you order the food, but when you look at what you got you feel like you got scammed a little.

The presentation was good as well, a black tray with checkered paper to cover.

In the end, I encourage everyone who reads this to visit, maybe this is what the mall needs to stay afloat. Don’t let this article stop you from going. Although it was good, there are factors that make it just okay. The absence of a cut in the cheesesteak was weird to see, and the chicken on the sandwiches are very inconsistent. And the buns can be better, they were cold compared to the sandwiches. Overall we give Naf’s a 6.8/10.
