TOWAMENCIN – Recent construction has caused loads of potholes around the North Penn parking lot in the past few months. North Penn School District has decided to fix this problem by filling the holes with artificial turf. Amid the baseball and softball teams’ continuous requests for turf fields in the last many years, the solution seems like a slap in the face to both programs.

In all areas of the North Penn High School parking lot the concrete is plagued with holes and dips. With students and visitors complaining about having to dodge them a solution was needed quickly. The best and quickest solution the district saw was to fill them with artificial turf.

In the past few years North Penn Baseball and Softball programs have been fighting for an upgrade to their athletic facilities by making the fields turf. Turf would give the teams the ability to play and practice rain, snow, or shine.

Luckily for the people of North Penn School District you will now be able to indefinitely drive through the parking lots rain, snow, or shine. The turf has the ability to be driven on no matter the circumstance. This is completely unlike anything you’ve seen before… concrete could never have done a better job.

When Baseball Coach Kevin Manero was asked his thoughts on the matter he simply had “no comments.”
