Reynolds tackles Delaware Valley

Dante Reynolds graduated from North Penn in 2015 and is now a junior at Delaware Valley University. He was a key component on the football team at North Penn and helped the  Knights win the conference and advance to District Playoffs his senior year. With great success at North Penn, he was able to continue his athletic career at Delaware Valley University playing football.

“I played offensive line, left Guard. Now in college, I play the same position and have gained so much more knowledge. Each day in practice is another day to perfect my craft,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds found his love for football at a young age. He began playing football for the Lansdale Cannoneers when he was five. He played flag and then played tackle once he got to 2nd grade. Since football is a contact sport, he loved it, being able to hit and tackle.

“Once I realized it’s what I love to do, I stuck with it. It’s taught me to be disciplined and how to work hard for what I want to accomplish. To be with my brothers on the team, creating friendships that will last a lifetime, is such a huge part that keeps me in the game. That feeling of playing for the guy next to you. The passion I have for the game made me want to play in college. Then once I started getting recruited I turned the dream into a reality. It’s a blessing to be able to play,” said Reynolds

Favorite Part about College: “Being a part of the team at Delval is amazing because it’s a family environment and we all play for each other. Being able to play football while getting a degree in business is great.”

What do you miss most about North Penn? “I miss the Friday night light games at North Penn the most.”

Advice to High Schoolers: “To push yourself to be the best you can be and be open minded.”
