Knights next quest: Katie Tarlo

What schools did you apply to?

I applied to Thomas Jefferson, West Virginia, The Fashion Institute of Technology, and Mercyhurst University.

What school did you commit to and why?

I committed to Mercyhurst University for cross country and I also picked this school because they have a really good fashion merchandising program. Another reason I picked this school is that they are affiliated with the Fashion Institute of Technology which means that in my fourth year, I can transfer to New York City and finish getting my degree there. I thought this was really cool because it is completely different from other college experiences and allows me to live in two different cities in four years. I also want to live in NYC in the future and this program gives me the opportunity to do that.

What are your academic/career aspirations?

In the future, I really want to get a job in fashion media and marketing. I would love to run a social media account for a big-name brand.

What are you most excited for?

I am most excited to go somewhere new and meet new people. I am also really excited to run in college as well.

What is your favorite North Penn memory?

My favorite North Penn memory would be all the fun experiences I had running cross country and track.
