Black History Month: Quote of the Day

Kobe Bryant

“The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”
“It’s the magic within each of us that gives us the potential to inspire the world.”

Kobe Bryant was one of the most iconic African American professional basketball players. Damion Thomas from the National Museum of African American History & Culture said “For a generation of people, Kobe Bryant was symbolic of excellence and it was an excellence that transcended the world of sports.” Although Bryant tragically left us in January of 2020, he will forever remain an important part of the history of professional basketball and African American culture.
