BETHLEHEM, PA – Students from the International Friendship Club and the German Club recently went up to Bethlehem to visit the German Christmas market, Christkindlemarkt. Students left after school on the 8th of December for an evening of food, crafts, and holiday cheer. The market is set up every year in mid-November and goes until mid-December. There were loads of homemade arts and crafts to admire or purchase, good food, live music, and even the big man in red himself, Santa Claus.
Artists present included glass makers, hat makers, ornament craftsmen, an ice sculptor, as well as pastry makers. Students in the club had a blast browsing, eating dinner to live music, and even getting a picture taken with Santa.
