Forging Ahead: North Penn quarterback Reece Udinski takes a snap during the Knights defeat of CB South on Friday night, September 30. The Knights closed out the first month of the season a perfect 6-0.

WARRINGTON- The football game that on paper had the chance to be a nail biting game between two undefeated teams, turned out to be another game dominated by the North Penn Knights. On the night when CB South broke in their new artificial turf, The Knights (6-0) turfed Central Bucks South (5-1) with the same intensity that has been propelling them through their unbeaten season.

“We wanted to play our own game tonight and I think we did that; our offense and defense stepped up and we earned a win.” said quarterback Reece Udinski.

The Knights got on the scoreboard first as a pass from senior quarterback Reece Udinski took Ricky Johns 10 yards into the end zone (5:42). The Titans were unable to answer back in the first quarter before North Penn’s Jon Haynes intercepted a pass to score a 55 yard touchdown (3:30).

The Titans’ junior quarterback Jack Johns controlled the beginning of the second quarter, passing for two touchdowns within 6 minutes. However, a missed extra point still left the Knights leading 14-13. The Knights were able to regain control, answering back with two more touchdowns, one a 35 yarder for Johns and a 38 yard score for Jake Hubler, putting the Knights up 28-13 at the half.

“I thought Jake Hubler scoring right before the half was a big momentum change that really shifted the game in our favor.” said Udinski.

North Penn was able to get more scores on the board in the fourth quarter as Udinski found Hubler and Xzavier Gorsky for two more touchdowns. The Knights knew their offensive success was also matched with the prowess of their defense.

“I think Nick Vasger played great tonight, our defensive line was a force.” said Johns.

The Knights (6-0) next travel to Central Bucks East (5-1) next Saturday at 1pm as they look to continue their unblemished run through the Continental Conference.

“We are going to continue to work hard and focus on our next opponent, we can’t sit on this win.” said junior Justis Henley.
