FRANCONIA – The Knights and Maidens were on a roll yesterday as both North Penn bowling teams picked up wins in the lanes.

In an opening night League match held at Earlbowl, the North Penn boys and girls each went 4-0 over Upper Moreland. The Maidens’ match had two games, the first and third, coming down the last two bowlers on each team with total pins being less than ten. Anchor for Upper Moreland, Kayla Balcerak, finished strong in the first game forcing North Penn’s last two girls to try and match them.

Freshman Jocelyn Wynkoop struck out in the tenth frame having senior Danielle Godshall to only get a good pin count and ended up winning by two pins. Lilianna Ly also had a nice 173 game to help in the victory.

The second game was won by North Penn by 107 pins with good games by Jocelyn Wynkoop’s 176 and Danielle Godshall’s 210. North Penn edged out the third game with thrilling 8 pin win in the tenth frame. Rachel Brynien and Nicole Grace chipped in with good games (153 and 165).

High for Upper Moreland was Kayla Balcerak (53)1 and for North Penn was Danielle Godsahll (505).

The North Penn boys had a terrific night and were close to a team record score. All four boys had 600 plus series with Lucas Denton having the high series with a 658.(198-203-257).

Other high games for North Penn were Christian Stinson (212-216), Dylan Bailey-Smith (246), Colin Nast (202-206), and Tyler Sharpe with a 214.

High for Upper Moreland was Jon Searles (602) and for North Penn Lucas Denton (658)
