Most students would say spring break was enjoyable, but looking at the North Penn athletics, the break was very beneficial to the baseball, softball, and lacrosse athletes with much success in sports this week.

Sports

  • On Wednesday April 4th the Boys Lacrosse team played against Springfield and won 7-5.
  • On Thursday April 5th the Baseball team played against Central Bucks West and won 11-1.
  • The Softball team traveled to Central Bucks West and beat them 13-9.
  • On Monday April 9th the Boys Tennis Team will host Central Bucks West at 3:30pm.
  • The Baseball team will host William Tennent at 3:45 on Tuesday April 10th.
  • The Boys Track and Field team will host William Tennent at 3:45.
  • The Boys Lacrosse team will host the Academy of New Church at 5:30.
  • The Softball team will host Central Bucks East at 3:45 on Wednesday April 11th.
  • Girls Lacrosse will host Central Bucks South at 5:15.
  • The Boys Volleyball team will host Cheltenham  at 7:00.
  • On Thursday April 12th the Boys Track and Field team will host the annual Knights Invite starting at 3:00.
  • The Boys Tennis team will host Central Bucks South at 3:45.
  • At 4:00 the Softball team will host Neshaminy High School.
  • The Boys Lacrosse team will host Neshaminy at 5:15.
  • On Friday April 13th the Girls Track and Field team will host the second annual Lady Knights Invite starting at 3:00.
  • The Softball team will host Quakertown at 3:45.
  • At 5:00 the Girls Lacrosse team will host Abington.
  • On Saturday April 14th the Boys Volleyball team will host Lasalle at 11:30.

Activites

  • FTK Minithon Apparel will be on sale April 10th-13th during lunches for the annual Minithon.
  • On Thursday, April 12 the Chronic and Invisible Diseases Club will hold its next meeting. The meeting will take place in room C108 and will run from 2:20 to 3:00pm.  The topic will be Autism.
  • Japanese Animation and Cultural Club general membership meeting is going be held at room D107 after school on Thursday, April 12, 2018.  The meeting is going to start 2:20 promptly.
  • Tickets for The Class of 2018 senior prom (Saturday, May 12th from 6- 11pm at Drexelbrook) will be on sale during all lunches from April 11- April 13  for $70 each and then from April 16 – April 20 for $75 each. All obligations must be cleared by April 6 in order to purchase tickets. If you’re bringing a guest who doesn’t go to North Penn, be sure to stop by D103 and fill out a guest form before you get your ticket. Guest forms must be approved before you purchase a guest ticket.

Announcements

  • Applications for Student Government Officer and Cabinet positions are now available in the K-Pod Reception Office. Act quickly – Applications for officer positions are due at the end of the day on Friday April 13th.
  • Any senior interested in submitting a graduation speech, please complete the form that was emailed to you by Wednesday, April 18th.
  • NMTCC will be closed to sophomores and juniors on Tuesday, April 24th. Students who attend 1st session should report to the senior cafeteria for periods 2 and 3. Students who attend 3rd session are permitted to leave after 5th period with parent permission or remain in the cafeteria for periods 7 and 8.
  • North Penn High School Theatre is presenting the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof May 3, 4, 5 at 7:30 PM and May 6 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now at www.npenn.org/theatre or you can find ticket order forms in the K-Pod reception office (and teacher’s mailroom). Tickets are only $5 for students and $10 for adults.
