LANSDALE – North Penn High School continues to achieve as one of the top high schools in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, the state released data pertaining to academic achievement for all public schools in the commonwealth. NPHS ranked as 10th in the state in the School Performance Profile (SPP) with a score of 97.6.

“Our SPP score of 97.6 is exceptional and among the highest in the state,” stated North Penn School District Superintendent Dr. Curtis R. Dietrich. “Thanks to phenomenal staff, rigorous programming and high expectations throughout the school district, NPHS continues to bring accolades to this community and graduate outstanding young men and women.”

A school’s SPP includes Keystone Exam results and other indicators including graduation rate, attendance rate, Advanced Placement participation and more. This year because of changes in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), PSSA results were not included in the calculation and therefore only schools with an 11th grade received an SPP.

“I look forward to using the data related to SPP to continue our efforts to improve achievement in all of our schools and for all of our students,” continued Dietrich. “Academic excellence in our elementary and middle schools is a very important factor in the great scores we received at the high school year this year and in future years.”
