Paris Manhunt

On Wednesday, two people stormed into the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and killed twelve people, wounding another eleven and leaving two police officers dead. The two suspects are Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi. The magazine is known for its controversial cartoons that depict many religions. In 2011, Charlie Hebdo’s office was attacked the morning before they were going to release a cover making fun of Islamic law.

The two suspects are still loose in Paris. However, they left behind their getaway car, giving police and authorities more insight to their whereabouts. France has deployed over 80,000 officers in efforts to aid the manhunt. Authorities believe they have the two surrounded in a forested area near the town of Longpont, but despite this lead, they are still not certain of the two terrorists whereabouts.

The Eiffel Tower also turned off its lights in honor of the victims lost in the attack.
