Look forward to “Fall-ing”

Anissa Gardizy, Staff Writer

The beginning of Fall is upon us once again. It may or may not be your favorite season, but there are several, perhaps unrelated, things to look forward to with the start of the season.

Football Games

We are just four games into a long season that is looking promising for the Knights (4-0). The North Penn student section is most definitely the place to be on crisp Friday nights at Crawford Stadium. High school football games are the perfect place to show school pride, hang out with friends, and make lifelong memories.

Stepping on Leaves

You know someone is lying if they say they can’t stand to hear the crunching of fall leaves on the ground. Make sure to take advantage of this special time in nature to step on, rake up, and jump in fall leaves- you can’t do this at any other time in the year!

Presidential Election

The media has been covering the 2016 Presidential Election for over a year now, and this Fall we will finally vote for our next leader.

It doesn’t matter if you are “With Her,”want to “Make America Great Again,” or still “Feel the Bern,” because in a few weeks the decision will be up to America.

Fashion

It is time to start breaking out the jeans, sweaters, boots, and jackets that we have tucked away since last March. Whether you prefer Fall clothes or Summer clothes, it is always thrilling to get out your new wardrobe and find clothes you forgot you still had. This time of year is also the perfect time to go shopping for clothes if you have put off back to school shopping.

Pumpkins and Corn Mazes

If you have never carved a pumpkin or attempted a corn maze, now is the time to do it. Pumpkin carving is a cheap, entertaining, and festive way to decorate your home for the season. As for corn mazes, they can range from “kid friendly” to “you won’t be able to sleep for the next three nights”, so pick your maze accordingly. Locally, Merrymead Farms and Freddy Hill Farms always have Fall festivities going on at this time of year.

Living in Pennsylvania, we are so lucky to experience all four seasons, that sometimes we forget to embrace and explore the excitement that comes with each one. This fall, make it a goal to do as many “fall-related” activities that you can, because within a blink of an eye it will be Winter.
