Board recognizes North Penn’s Unified Sports

March’s action meeting took place at the Towamencin township building. As the board has been doing all year, they highlighted one of the schools in that township. The board highlighted the North Penn High School and their unified sports clubs.

Four members of Unified Bocce proudly represented their team and discussed it’s importance at North Penn. Team captain, Nick Lupinacci as well as Luke Williams, Sophia Appel, and Emma Hersh spoke fondly about the relationships created during these opportunities

All committee reports, Solicitors report, Superintendent report, and finance report were approved.

Mr. Schnieder gave a presentation on North Penn’s testing of lead throughout the district. He explained the procedure for the removal of any unsafe lead amounts and also gave recommendations on the plan for testing in the future. The presentation is linked in Board Docs.

During the meeting the board voted to approve the next MCIU board presentative. The board was unanimous and Mrs. Julianna Ramic was selected.

Dr. Elisha Gee wanted to recognize it as Developmental Disabilities Awareness month.

“It’s a good time for us to just stop and recognize and honor all of the teachers, families, and partners in our community who support any of our children with developmental disabilities,” Gee added.
