For the past few months, fashion weeks all over the world have been showcasing the newest trends, styles, and colors for the 2019 spring season.

In no particular order, here are the top ten trends to look for this spring:

10. Neutrals

Neutrals are always in style. However, tan is going to be the popular color this spring. Different styles of khaki have been shown on the runway in shirt, jackets, and hats, not just pants. Neutrals can make for a very professional look.

9. Warm Tones

From reds to yellows, the warm side of the color wheel has been prominent on the runways. More rusty reds and oranges will be making an appearance, which will work well leading into the summer months.

8. Cycling Shorts

This is an interesting piece that has been surfacing recently, and I am curious to see if it will make its way into everyday wear. Tight cycling shorts were seen with heels and a professional top. The rest of the outfit is somewhat formal, with the shorts adding a different look. Surprisingly, it does not look too bad.

7. Florals

Floral patterns seem to have come in and out of popular fashion over the years, but they have been a staple piece recently. This will continue into spring as florals are still very popular in the fashion world. Flowers are the perfect way to go as they will be blooming in the coming months.

6. Fun printed sneakers

Although the usual Converse and Vans are still the shoes that everyone is wearing, more shoes with different prints and patterns have been surfacing. Cute sneakers with flowers, swirls, and other various designs are coming up and might be this spring’s new style of footwear. They might make a neutral colored outfit really pop.

5. Neons

Many styles from past decades have been renewed and used again, and this trend from the 80’s is the next to come back. Bright colors are perfect for spring, and wearing neons is a fun, bold choice for the warm weather.

4. Oversized Denim

Another trend that is making a comeback is oversized denim. Over the past couple of years, denim jackets and ripped jeans have been extremely popular everywhere. This season, bigger jackets that were popular in the late 90’s and early 2000’s are coming back. It seems like denim on denim is being accepted again as well.

3. Pastels

On the other side of the spectrum, pastels will be popular this coming spring. These sunny months always incorporate some light, flower-like colors. From lavenders to pinks to yellows, pastels are perfect for this season.

2. Fishnet Material

Many of the models working the runways were showing off fishnet material over their outfits. Many designers have been focusing pieces around the beach. Instead of the tight fishnet stockings everyone is used to, it’s more just a blanket-like piece draped over to finish the beachy look. This could be very interesting for the summer, but maybe not ready for the spring.

1. Golden Style

The final trend that I think everyone can get behind is how popular yellow and gold are becoming. I know the warm tones were already mentioned, but sunflower yellow has been very fashion forward recently, and it’s not stopping now. Spring is the perfect time for this color to be worn, and it will certainly continue to be popular through the summer months.
