Local elections pose great importance because they directly impact the people throughout a community.

LANSDALE – Newcomer Ed Diasio was the leading vote getter with 9,331 votes for North Penn School Director, but only 438 votes separated him from the 6th place vote getter, magnifying yet again the importance of every vote when it comes to local elections.

Diasio is joined in the win column by incumbents Carolyn Murphy, John Schilling, and Suzan Leonard, as well as former board member Theresa Prykowski.

Results varied across each municipality within the North Penn School District. In Towamencin and Hatfield Townships, it was the five Republican candidates who secured the leading vote tallies, while in the Boroughs of Lansdale and North Wales,  the five Democratic candidates picked up the most votes.  Montgomery and Upper Gwynedd Townships and Hatfield Borough saw more of a voting split among the two parties.
