North Penn Theatre Presents: “Beauty and The Beast”

The Disney Classic “Beauty and The Beast” has arrived to the stage of North Penn High School with over 110 students involved through various positions that include the cast, the crew and a student orchestra.

“We began “Beauty and The Beast” back in January with auditions and we went right into rehearsals. We had the crew come in right away starting to build and when most people come and see the show I hope that they see that this is a huge costume show, huge set, lights, cast, lots of dancing and singing, and all sorts of coordination going on. People have been working very hard and it’s been very exciting with all the challenges to work hard in our craft and to go to the next level in what we do in terms of singing and dancing and costumes or whatever it may be. So many of the props and costumes on stage have been built by students, which is an exciting thing,” said director Andrea Roney.

The show opens Thursday, May 1st at 7:30 and runs Friday, May 2nd, Saturday, May 3rd also at 7:30, closing out Sunday, May 4th for a 2:00pm matinee. Tickets are currently selling online and will also be made available at the door, $5 for students and $10 for all adults.
