What schools did you apply to?

Purdue, Penn State, Pitt, Notre Dame, Villanova, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, West Virginia.

Where do you commit to, and why?

I will attend Purdue in the fall. The school exceeds my expectations for academics as its engineering program provides the highest qualified professors and the most modern technologies in the nation. I wanted a school with big sports programs, and Purdue’s football and basketball teams are just that. I have grown up dreaming of being in the student sections on TV and love the idea of a connecting factor for the entire student body. When touring Purdue, I loved the large, green areas and the beautiful campus, far from Pennsylvania, that make it a place I can call home. Purdue also has many opportunities to study abroad and be an engineer, allowing me to travel the world like I have always wanted.

What are your academic/career aspirations?

I got accepted into Engineering with a Civil Intent. My career aspiration is to find a job that allows me to combine my creativity skills (through art and design) with my innovative skills (through curiosity and building) to help improve the world, wherever that may lead me.

What are you most excited about next year?

I am most excited for football and basketball season, getting to be in the student section of the games I have been watching endlessly for a decade.

What is your favorite North Penn memory?

I will always remember the memories with the sports teams I have joined at North Penn. While dances and football games have been nights to remember, the bonds and experience I have gained on the track and cross-country teams have shaped me in ways beyond measure. Running my personal best under the lights on a warm spring night and falling to the ground in pain at the finish line, just to be picked up by my teammates cheering for me, is truly remarkable, and I am forever grateful.
