TOWAMENCIN – This year’s fall production, Our Town, is generating a lot of excitement only two weeks into production. The theatre season has begun and has already held auditions followed by callbacks. All those who made it through to the second round of callbacks gathered outside the auditorium to peruse scripts and prepare with the little time they had left. The buzz in the air was palpable.
As senior Jacob Gallo said, “Our Town is one of my favorite regular plays, I’m a huge fan.”
Speaking of his experience auditioning at North Penn, he commented, “I tend to not get nervous anymore because I’ve done so many auditions.”
In an entirely different boat, sophomore Jess Phillips auditioned for the first time at North Penn just a week ago.
“I got to see how different people act and how they go into character. It was very cool,” says Phillips.
When asked why she chose to audition, Jess explained, “I wanted to be in North Penn Theatre,” after she saw shows produced here such as The Sound of Music and Twelfth Night.
Our Town is stepping off on a strong foot and is sure to be yet another fabulous show, following the trend of years past. The performance dates are on November 21st through the 24th at 7:30 with a Sunday matinee at 2:00.
