Senior Highlight- Swimming/Diving

As we approach North Penn Girls and Boys Swimming/Diving senior night, we wanted to highlight the seniors themselves that are leading the way for the younger swimmers who will one day be in their place!

BOYS

Name: Danny Dunigan

Fun Fact bout yourself: I have been swimming since I was 6

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: States junior year

Message to the underclassmen: Have fun while you are on the team because time flies.

College plans: Attend West Chester and swim there

 

Name: Aidan Faikish

Event(s): 200 IM, 500 freestyle, 100 breastroke

Fun Fact about yourself: I have 3 brothers.

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Winning Districts junior year.

Message to the underclassmen: Don’t let time get away from you.

College plans: West Chester University for swimming. Study economics/finance

 

Name: Gabe Finn

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Getting my hair bleached for the first time

Message to the underclassmen: This might be an individual sport but we are a tight-knit team,  embrace that.

College plans: Going for mechanical engineering

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Team breakfasts during and right after hell week.

Message to the underclassmen: No matter how well you do in the sport, swimming will teach you a lot.

College plans: Major in chemical engineering

Fun Fact about yourself: I won 2 events at YMCA states when I was 10.

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Overcoming a 100+ point underdogs and winning districts as a team in my junior year.

Message to the underclassmen: Never give up on a set before it starts.

College plans: Washington College to swim and major in communications.

 

GIRLS

Fun Fact about yourself: I’ve never had a corn dog.

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Staying in hotels for districts and states.

Message to the underclassmen: It’s not that deep, don’t stress over it.

College plans: University of Maine for sports therapy and kinesiology and D1 swimming.

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Team dinners and Wilson relays.

Message to the underclassmen: Try to stay positive and enjoy it because it goes fast.

College plans: Undecided on a college right now and I want to major in pre-occupational therapy.

Fun Fact about yourself: The 200 IM girls team record has been held by a member of my family for 34 years.

Favorite Memory with NP Swim/Dive: Winning states my freshman year. 

Message to the underclassmen: Being on North Penn doesn’t automatically make you good, its the time, dedication, and effort that gives our team the privilege to say we are one of the best teams in the state.

College plans: University of Miami, Club swim and water polo.

College plans: I’m still hearing back from schools but I’m leaning towards JMU and undecided major.
