Take a quick look at what is going on at North Penn this week!

In these middle weeks of May, the sports’ teams are advancing into playoffs and activities are coming to a close. With only 18 days left of school, here is what is going on at North Penn this week:

Sports: Results

  • Boys V Baseball won over Pennridge 4-3
  • Girls V Softball won over Pennridge 10-1
  • Boys V Lacrosse won over Pennsbury 8-2
  • Girls V Lacrosse won over Methacton 11-10

Announcements:

  • Juniors, there is class trip information packets outside of F40 and a printable one on Google Classroom (oo63v8j). Payments for the trip are now being taken in any amount.
  • The North Penn Boys and Girls Club is offering free weight room memberships to those ages 16-18. If you are interested, you can pick up a form outside the Athletic Office.
  • Days till summer break: 18
  • Seniors can exempt finals. This can be two year-long courses or one year-long course and two semester courses, or 4 semester courses. Students must have an A in all marking periods of the course. Students wish to exempt a course must let their teacher know, prior to the exam, to be added to the exemption list.
  • Parking passes for the 2019-2020 school year are available in Sophomore and Junior home offices.
  • Field trip forms are available in the K-Pod Reception Office to volunteer for your former elementary school’s Olympic Day. There are only ten spots per school so sign up fast!
  • Free school breakfast will be available on May 14th for all students and staff. Breakfast cart items are not included.
  • There will be a Nanotechnology and Engineering Symposium Thursday May 30th starting at 7:00pm. 50 senior students (divided into 17 teams) will present their research in the auditorium and then transition to the audion at 8:30pm.
  • Another blood drive will be held May 23rd during the school day in the Aux gym. Sign ups will be held during all lunches May 13th-17th. You need a signed parent permission form in order to donate blood. This permission form will be sent in an email once you sign up during lunch. Bring this form and your ID when you go to donate.

  • Class of 2020 Senior Portraits will be held in the F-pod balcony May 20th-23rd. Schedule your appointment at www.ouryear.com or by calling 1-800-687-9327. Our school code is 415. More information is available at this link.
  • This year, you can nominate a teacher for the Teacher of the Year award. Forms are in the K-pod reception office and are due May 31st.
