As the fourth marking period begins, a lot is happening at North Penn High School regarding sports, activities, announcements, and more. Here’s everything you need to know for this past week.

Sports

  • On Tuesday April 10th the baseball team beat William Tennent 12-8.
  • The boys lacrosse team beat Academy of New Church 9-4.
  • The boys Track and Field team won against William Tennent.
  • On Wednesday April 11th the softball team won against Central Bucks East 5-4.
  • The Girls Lacrosse team won against Central Bucks South 15-3.
  • The Boys Volleyball team won against Cheltenham.
  • At the Knights Invite on Thursday April 12th the Knights placed 1st in the 100 and 400, and second in the 3200.
  • The Softball team defeated Haverford 6-4.
  • The Boys Lacrosse team won against Neshaminy 15-8.
  • On Friday April 13th the Softball team lost against Quakertown 3-5.
  • The Girls Lacrosse team lost to Abington 9-13.
  • On Saturday April 14th the Boys Volleyball team lost to LaSalle College High School.
  • On Monday April 16th the Softball team will host Souderton at 3:45.
  • The Girls Lacrosse team will host Neshaminy at 5:15.
  • The Boys Volleyball team will play Central Bucks West at 7:00.
  • A parent/student information meeting for the 2018/2019 Cheerleading season is from 7-9 PM in the Audion. Tryouts will be May 14th to 18th from 5-8 PM in the Aux. Gym.
  • On Tuesday April 17th the Unified Track team is hosting its first ever home meet at 3:30 at Crawford Stadium against Souderton, Springford and Abington.
  • The Boys Tennis team will host Cheltenham at 3:45.
  • Wednesday morning April 18th at 7:00 AM in room J-13 there will be a meeting for the 2018 NPHS Golf team.
  • At 3:45 the baseball team will host Central Bucks South.
  • On Thursday April 19th the Boys Track and Field team will host Central Bucks West at 3:45.
  • At 5:30 the Girls Lacrosse team will host Easton Area.
  • On Friday April 20th the Softball team will play Pennridge at 3:45.
  • The Boys Lacrosse team will host Central Bucks East at 5:15.

Activities

  • The North Penn Dance Team will be holding tryouts April 23, 25, 26, and 27th from 3:30-5:45 pm in the Senior Café.
  • Find the Model Aviation club after school on Tuesdays at 2:20 in room H-14.
  • Students looking to run for a class officer position for next school year can now pick up applications in F40 or download them from the Class Website.  Applications are due Friday, April 20th.
  • Student applications are now being accepted for participation in the 2018 North Penn Auto Show!  The North Penn Auto Show will be held on Thursday, May 17th during all lunch periods in the bus circle.
  • There will be a mandatory Key Club meeting on Tuesday,  April 17th at 6:45pm in the Audion for all members.
  • North Penn High School Theatre is presenting the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof May 3, 4, 5 at 7:30 PM and May 6 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now at www.npenn.org/theatre or you can find ticket order forms in the K-Pod reception office (and teacher’s mailroom). Tickets are only $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Announcements

  • Any senior interested in submitting a graduation speech, please complete the form that was emailed to you by Wednesday, April 18th.
  • The Class of 2018 senior prom will be on Saturday, May 12th from 6- 11pm at Drexelbrook.  Tickets will be on sale during all lunches this week from April 16 – April 20 for $75 each. If you’re bringing a guest who doesn’t go to North Penn, be sure to stop by D103 and fill out a guest form before you get your ticket. Guest forms must be approved before you purchase a guest ticket.
  • NMTCC will be closed to sophomores and juniors on Tuesday, April 24th. Students who attend 1st session should report to the senior cafeteria for periods 2 and 3. Students who attend 3rd session are permitted to leave after 5th period with parent permission or remain in the cafeteria for periods 7 and 8.
  • SGA If you’d like to make a difference at North Penn High School, now is your chance. Applications for Student Government Officer and Cabinet positions are now available in the K-Pod Reception Office. Act quickly – Applications for officer positions are due at the end of the day on Friday April 13th.
