THE CHAMP IS HERE! The NPHS Girls Swimming and Diving Team brought home a 2018 team state title, while the boys team finished as the state runner up.

TOWAMENCIN- Talent manifested itself in all corners of the North Penn High School community in what was a week that saw successes everywhere from the wrestling mat, to the swimming pool, to the auditorium stage. Here is a look at last week in review, in case you missed it.

Sports

  • On Thursday March 15th the North Penn Girls Swimming and Diving team took 1st place at the PIAA State Championships at Bucknell University.
  • On Thursday March 15th the North Penn Boys Swimming and Diving team took 2nd place at the PIAA State Championships

Activities

  • On Friday March 16th Anastasia won the talent show with her magic show. Deja Hoes sang and came in second. Frank Yanni and Jenna Little came in third place, singing and playing the guitar.   
  • On Sunday March 18th the North Penn Winter Color Guard competed at the East Power Regionals at Lehigh University
  • Model Aviation Club will meet Tuesday March 20th in room H-14 at 2:20, all students are welcome.
  • On Tuesday March 20th there will be a key club meeting in the Audion at 6:45.
  • Wednesday March 21st will be Ski and Board club’s final membership meeting from 7-9pm in the Audion.
  • From June 15th – 18th, the class of 2019 has a leadership opportunity at Camp Neidig. The North Penn chapters of Rotary sponsors two campers each year, so if you are a member of the class of 2019 and interested, see Mr. Berger for more information.

Announcements

  • On Thursday March 22nd the applications for being an National Honors Society officer next year are due. They are available on the NHS Google Classroom and should be turned in to A22.
  • On Thursday March 22nd the application for on of the 12 senior awards for the National Honors Society are due. This is offered to seniors in good standings in NHS. The applications are available on the NHS Google Classroom and should be turned in to A22.
  • Friday March 23rd all senior apparel order forms are due. This is the last chance to by senior apparel.
  • All seniors interested in submitting a graduation speech, submit the form that was emailed by Wednesday April 18th.
