Ryan Cody and Patrick O’Neill both placed in the top 8 at the PIAA State Wrestling Tournament

TOWAMENCIN – March came in like a lion as far as the weather is concerned, and in the confines of North Penn High School, from sports to the talent show, and many other things in between, March has been equally exciting. Here is a quick look at what’s been happening at NPHS.

Sports

  • On Sunday March 4th, both the boys and girls swimming and diving teams clinched the District Title with many state qualifiers to race March 14-17 at Bucknell University.
  • On Tuesday March 6th, the Unified Bocce Ball team won the County Championships and qualified for the state championships which will be held between the PIAA basketball championships in Hershey.
  • On Friday March 9th, three North penn Wrestlers went to the State Championships and senior Ryan Cody came in 8th and junior Patrick O’Neil came in 7th.
  • On Tuesday March 13th the Unified track team will have a mandatory meeting.

 

Activities

  • On Wednesday March 21st there will be the final meeting for the Ski and Board Club
  • On Tuesday March 13th there will be a Model Activation Club meeting preparing for the Fun-Fly event on the 17th.  
  • The Talent show is scheduled for Friday March 16th and acts will include: Kieran Bates. Rita Maine, Quira Crosby, Katie and Kristen, Jenna and Frank, Shushrita, Anastasia, Deja, Sadiya, Zach and Katie, Mary Catherine and Gabby, Maria Martinez, Sharon and Andrew, and Mike Pineda.

 

Announcements

  • Purchase flowers for Junior prom at lunches up until March 12th
  • On March 20th, for seniors interested in attending Montgomery County Community College, there will be an all day field trip.
  • All orders for senior apparel are due by March 23rd.
