NPHS student receives honorable mention in Penn State writing contest

LANSDALE – The North Penn School District is proud to announce that North Penn High School (NPHS) junior Dominique Mosley received an honorable mention in the 2015 Penn State Writing Contest for High School Writers.

Each November, Penn State holds a writing competition in which Pennsylvania high school juniors are given a prompt and instructed to generate a timed response that is submitted anonymously and judged by Penn State faculty. Of the nearly 100 students from across the state who participated in this year’s contest, only 20 were recognized for their performance.

NPHS’s  Dominique Mosley, a junior Advanced Placement ;anguage and composition student of Janet Kratz, was among those 20 students, receiving an honorable mention and cash prize. Mosely attended a reception for writing contest winners on Friday, April 24th at Penn State Nittany Lion Inn where she was recognized as one of the top seven writers in the state.
