Harry Potter Magically Disappearing Off Shelves

Harry Potter Magically Disappearing Off Shelves

Attention all muggles! Unless Harry Potter fans know a magical spell, they will no longer be able to purchase any of the eight films very soon. Copycatting the Disney ‘vault’ strategy, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. is carefully hiding away their award-winning fantasy flicks starting December 29, 2011.

And you guessed it; the very clever and implicit reason behind it is the greed for some extreme amounts of cash. Will these companies ever be happy with the millions of dollars that already came in from the movies? Apparently not, and we, the fans, are going to suffer for it!

With such lovely technology of the modern times, such as Blu-ray and DVD, there is now a rush to own everyone’s favorite wizard movies, and ironically, just in time for the holiday season. One can only guess Warner Bros. will periodically release HP movies in the future, although at exceedingly high prices aiming to bring in the bucks. This pushes fans even further to buy the Harry Potter: Complete 8- Film Collection, now available for around fifty dollars.

But there is a little bit of good news for procrastinating fans. According to a statement made to Entertainment Weekly, “there will be product come first of the year, but over time there’ll be less and less of that inventory,” says Jeff Baker, senior vice president of Warner Bros.

So maybe Harry Potter won’t poof, disappear completely? There really is no certainty, so if you are a true HP diehard, prepare yourselves for Potter-deficiency during the coming years.

It’s sad to see the films come to an end. My friends and I were always excited to see what happened next in all of the books. I still can’t believe how great the movies turned out even with such an amazing book series.

I noticed that!, its kinda weird considering how much of a big hit it was upon release of the film.
