Apps for All: Solving group messaging problems with GroupXIt

Apps for All: Solving group messaging problems with GroupXIt

We’ve all been there- stuck in a group chat with your friends, hundreds of messages being sent a minute while you’re trying to do work and ultimately failing because the group message is too distracting. But now, there’s a way to get around the nonsense that clogs up the message, or just get out of it all.  A new app called GroupXIt can do just that. When you download the app, it gives you the option to simply swipe yourself out of any message you want. And if you don’t want completely out of your group message, you can use GroupXIt to hide alerts from certain people or set the message up so you are only notified when certain things are mentioned: for example, your name, someone else’s name, a certain topic, etc. I don’t know why no one thought of this idea earlier, because this app could be a lifesaver, especially when it comes to homework. Currently this app is only available on the Android, but hopefully it’ll be picked up by Apple soon, which it probably will be- I mean, who wouldn’t need this app at one point or another?
