Esha Nakodkar will be attending Penn State this fall for Information Systems Technology.

Senior Spotlight: Esha Nakodkar

Future Plans:

“I will be attending  Penn State University Park for information systems technology and a minor in Marketing or International Business.”

Favorite NPHS Memory:

“One of my favorite NPHS memories is powderpuff. Sophomore year I played, junior year I managed and this past year I was a cheer coach- definitely the best year by far. It was really just heartwarming and wholesome teaching choreography to a ragtag group of guys with so much spirit. I knew most of these guys and some of the other coaches going into it but knew all of them a million times better by the end and even though we didn’t win, that to me is a success.”

Favorite Teacher:

“I’ve had so many of amazing teachers- I cannot stress that enough. Mrs. Kratz & Mrs. Wilkins made two of the most difficult courses, my most successful ones and all because of their abilities as educators and all around wonderful human beings. Even classes as gross as Pre-Calc were made 100 times better by Mr Kim who managed to put a smile on my face every single day. I definitely won’t forget my many, incredible class cabinet & club advisors: Mrs Jermaine, Mr Frey, Mrs Young, Mr King, Mrs Krzemien, Mr Schmitz, Mrs Ruch, and Mrs Wakefield- thank you all for everything!”

Advice to the incoming sophomores:

“Incoming sophomores: MAKE FRIENDS. Join clubs, go to events, and talk to people in your classes. You have no idea how important those first friendships are. You may not think so now but they take you all the way up to graduation day, and get you through everything in between. (Also don’t take the “squirrel” comments so hard we all went through it it’s ‘the circle of life’).”

To the Class of 2021, I leave…

“A mug and some green tea in a filing cabinet in c39 and a dope collage that never made it to the art gallery. Most importantly, reassurance: after all of this, high school is going to be so very different. I don’t know exactly how but I know that it will be. It will be stressful and confusing and probably frustrating for a whole lot of reasons but you guys will lead. You will compose yourselves and carry on. And you’ll do great.”
