Special education is an important subject to Carminito because of his firm belief in the importance of equal opportunity in school.

“[It’s important] to make sure every student gets the appropriate education that they deserve and to support them in every way possible,” stated Carminito.

After earning a political science degree at West Chester University, Carminito taught in Philadelphia for five years. This experience would prepare him for his new endeavor as an educator in North Penn.

The 2014 hire  was drawn to North Penn because it’s a great district with a great reputation, great staff, and great group of students.

“I’m excited to be a part of North Penn,” said Carminito. “I love it here.”

He explained that he plans on inspiring them to want to learn and question. He looks forward to his students becoming better learners, along with acquiring more knowledge about the world.

As a special education teacher is crucial to a school, so are their personal traits that are exposed on a daily basis in the classroom.

“They [teachers] should be compassionate and caring,” revealed Carminito. “It’s important for teachers to care about the needs of everyone.”

Carminito’s ability to adapt so impressively in any school environment is sure to make a difference in North Penn. The passion he exemplifies for learning is continual, as is the need for special education teachers like Carminito.
