Yam Cookies!


  • 3 sticks butter, softened
  • 3 cups of sugar 3 eggs, beaten
  • 6 cups of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of baking powder
  • 3 cups of cooked yams
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of salt



  • First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • You will want to start off by cooking the yams and scooping out the insides Next you will want to melt the butter in the microwave.
  • Put in for short amounts of time, or else you’ll have a puddle of butter and a broken microwave.
  • Crack eggs gently, while making sure to not to let the egg shells fall in
  • Next mix all ingredients together, preferably in a big bowl while listening to some dubstep.
  • Scoop small amounts of mix onto a tray covered in parchment paper.
  • Place in oven until golden brown.
  • Enjoy your delicious yam ‘cornbread’ cookies!
