A peaceful sanctuary. A place of rest. A realm where time seems to stop: the North Penn High School girls’ bathrooms. Some people don’t think twice about bathrooms until they really have to go. To others, though, these colorful tiled rooms double as meeting spots, selfie rooms, and gossip headquarters.

E-pod: Hey, I see my whole class in here!
Starting off with the most packed pod of North Penn are the three girls bathrooms of E-Pod. Now, while they all look the same and you can quickly confuse yourself and feel like you are stuck in a loop, you’ll find that these bathrooms have a lot of characteristics, like the same yellow walls that you already encase yourself in every other classroom with an accent wall of white stripes. We also have the height inclusive mirrors! With one being a foot shorter than the others, so everyone of your friends can take a look.

A-Pod’s last bathroom standing
As we break off into the other pods, we can be greeted by the upstairs A-pod bathroom, which is currently the only available bathroom in the pod. One of my personal favorites is the contrasting colors of the light pink, blue, black, and white walls that give it a certain aesthetic to the usual school walls. In addition, we have a beautiful window which shows the baseball and football field; maybe those sights can remind you of certain memories and fuel some gossip. But all of that aside, when you’re sitting on the toilet and maybe it’s been a long day, you can receive compliments for just using the toilet correctly! “You are Beautiful Babes!” written on the stall door- what an uplifting quote to get you through the day and off the toilet.

B-Pod: Where French verbs meet French fries
Down the halls through the school we arrive at the second floor B-pod bathroom, along with her popular sister right below, the girls’ cafeteria bathroom! Starting with the second floor, you are greeted with a very unique array of colors. Light pink and green with some rustic red doors, almost makes me reminiscent of “Fancy Nancy.” Another big window with a wholesome view of the trees and the parking lot you wish you could be in right now to drive away. Nonetheless, this B-pod bathroom is a very whimsical place.

Moving onto the more popular sister, the cafeteria bathroom. The rush of the cafeteria, the population, and noise do make this bathroom a very intimidating place. Yet, we are greeted with the same color scheme as the upstairs one. Actually, everything is the same. Although that window looks kinda funny, it’s like you can’t even see out of it! No, literally, there’s some sort of film that contorts it, reminds me of a Van Gogh painting. Continuing on, this bathroom might know the most and the worst secrets about what goes on around here, so make sure you know who’s in your lunch period! And I don’t think you will ever find just one other person in this bathroom at any time, so don’t come here to recollect your thoughts or anything. And maybe most people can agree, along with this person who wrote “I’m so tired” and the rest of the fellow students writing “ditto” “same”.
C-pod: Where you can hear the Bunsen Burners from the stalls

Rolling onto the C-pod bathrooms we start off with the first floor. These bathrooms have a somewhat boring aesthetic of beiges, whites, and greys, but it is a nice color scheme nonetheless. Although it currently doesn’t give off a very comforting vibe with the only window being boarded up, there is one thing some North Penn students know how to do and that’s decorate as many things as we can. At least no one can peep in on you and your friends hanging out for twenty five minutes.

Upstairs C-pod is like the first floor but better looking. The natural light from an actual functioning and nice scenic window does the space some good. It blends the colors to be more of that aesthetic the first floor tried to be. But enough with the wall color, upstairs C is a nice place to relax because we never see much going on in there. But, like the coloring, it can be one of the boring bathrooms, but a very peaceful toilet experience can do people some good.
Don’t worry, K-pods still in its glow up era
The K-pod bathrooms have always had a reputation for being the newer and popular bathroom. It’s not in the midst of traffic like in E-pod, but people make the journey to come to these somewhat isolated bathrooms. Now that there is only one bathroom on the first floor of K-pod, it might have skewed the trend. K-pod bathroom has a more modern aesthetic to it with it also being a very large bathroom. If this bathroom was a person, it would be that one girl who is very clean and put together and likeable that everyone goes out of their way to meet.
Main entrance: Because sometimes morning bus hair is not it
Right by the doors of the school, we can be greeted by some of the security guards, staff, check in computers, and the main lobby bathrooms. The one right by K-pod It is a very nice bathroom for coming into school with no makeup and having to find the first and quickest place to apply it. Which most girls do in that bathroom. Otherwise, it might be an awkward spot to meet at with the security desk being a couple feet away from it. The other girl’s bathroom across the lobby is smaller but still gets the job done. It is a very forgettable bathroom and can be overlooked but maybe that’s what you are looking for in a bathroom in a very populated school.

Don’t sweat the sports lobby, okay?
As we break off from the letter pods, down and across the school we arrive at the sports lobby bathroom and the girls locker room bathroom. As you enter the sports lobby bathroom there is a turn around the corner before you actually enter it. Giving off the illusion that it seems bigger than it is. White walls with squares of browns followed by the beige stalls creates a very nice looking bathroom. If the locker rooms are locked this bathroom is a great place to go if you’re here in the early morning playing games with your friends in the gyms. The girl’s locker room can probably speak for itself in the fact that it is sometimes not unlocked and there are lots of belongings and lots of girls in there too. The bathroom portion of the locker room is smaller compared to the obvious lockers and benches but if your gym class is about to start its a perfect outlet.
From mysterious puddles to aesthetic mirrors, each bathroom can tell its own chaotic story. So whether you’re springing in for lip gloss, gossip, or pure necessity, each bathroom offers different memories and experiences.
