Everyone in the school has their two cents to put in about the cafeteria. The cafeteria review committee has been assembled through SGA a group to try and represent everyone’s two cents.
The cafeteria review committee is a group a students who volunteered through SGA’s house of representatives to critique the cafeteria food. Under the supervision of Mr. Hynes and Mrs. Kathleen Montgomery, the head of the food department, the students meet monthly and do what they can to make the cafeteria better for everyone.
Mrs. Montgomery stated that it was a “great group that gave a lot of feedback. They were all open and honest.”
“The group spoke about more rib-e-que along with an addition of crab fries and more pretzel sandwiches” Montgomery continued.
If those items aren’t appealing to you or if you have other ideas, students should speak to their social studies representative and tell them to bring up your idea at the next House of Representatives meeting.
The purpose of the committee is “to give input and feedback on improving service” Montgomery said, and they can’t do that without the student body’s input.
One addition that should have all students cheering is an alternative to the fatteningly famous cookie corner “creamie”.
“The committee decided to create a new option at the cookie corner. It will be two cookie corner cookies with ice cream in-between them” Montgomery said.
The committee and input from students are what made it possible to create such a dessert. So if you want more new ideas on the menu or in the corner speak up to your social studies representative.
