DOYLESTOWN – North Penn is heading into the postseason looking to win their 1st League Championship since 2013. Winning against both Pennridge (17-43) and CB West (20-35) at Peace Valley Park on Wednesday October 10th, they seem to be on the path to success.

Having seniors depart always leaves for an unknown next season, which is exactly what happened to the North Penn team when Brendan O’Toole moved away for college. With the help of the 2018 Captains, Senior Logan Macosko and Junior Noah Demis, the team bonded quickly and jumped right into the season win after win.

Peace Valley was no exception, as North Penn beat both of its opponents. In the matter of fact, Captain Noah Demis snatched first place followed by Junior Samir Razi in second.

Coach Mike Werner has been coaching the North Penn Boy’s Cross Country Team for many years now, but this is a year to remember.

Time after time, the Boy’s Cross Country Team proves that practice makes perfect, as they give it their all on and off the course.

Junior Logan McHenry was pleased with the team’s performance today.

“Course was good…team is good,” McHenry shared.

This statement says a lot about the team’s culture. The course was conquered, but the team continues to succeed time after time.

Captain Macosko is ecstatic of the team’s progress.

“I just can’t express how happy I am for the team. The amount we have grown since I was a freshman is unbelievable. We need to stay calm and go into the postseason strong,” Macosko stated.

Another proud member of the team is Senior James Chupallio.

Chupallio said, “ I think the team has a lot of potential this year. Everyone works hard and has the mentality to compete. I’m honored to work with and be surrounded by amazing people.”

Leagues will be held at Lehigh University on October 19th, followed by the District Championship on October 26th
