Beidy and Brett bracketology – PIAA AAAA Football Districts Round 2

Eric Beideman and Morgan Brett

Downingtown East v. North Penn

Beidy: In an early season non league game these two monsters met in what became a tremendous game. North Penn seemed to have won on a last second touchdown pass, however it was called back due to an illegal shift. This is in essence the district championship game, as the winner of this game will be able to roll the next two weeks and win the district. Both teams have their superstars, East has Cary Angeline, the 6’7 USC commit, and North Penn has Nyfease West, a two way star in the back field and the defensive backfield. Call me a homer, but i have North Penn in a close game. They just have too much depth and too much skill and I think if they can contain Angline, they should move on into the semifinal round.
North Penn 23-21

Brett: In the last game these two teams played evenly matched for almost the entire game. Although North Penn scored an extra touchdown, they took the touchdown back due to a flag on the play. So if North Penn can come out guns-a-blazing and play the way we all know they can, they will come out on top.
North Penn 27-21

Neshaminy v. Quakertown

Beidy: Neshaminy has the history, they have the drive, they have the coaching and they will roll. The Skins easily tossed Spring-Ford last week, the four seed in the tournament. Quakertown barely scraped past C.B. East 7-6, and they will not be that lucky this week. A seven point performance will not topple the Skins.
Neshaminy 28-14

Brett: Although Quakertown conquered CBE in a game where they were considered the underdog, their good fortune will most likely end in this week’s game against Neshaminy. Neshaminy has proved in the past their drive to win games. In this weeks game Neshaminy will come out on top.
Neshaminy 34-17

Pennsbury v. Perk Valley

Beidy: Mark my words: this will be a good game. These teams are very evenly matched. Both teams won their first round games 35-28. I think the difference in this game will be where it’s played and two players, Mike Alley and Luke Snyder. If those two can get going I believe that Gaylen Snyder’s going out parade may last another week.
Pennsbury 27-24

Brett: This game will be close for almost all 48 minutes. Although both teams had the same score it took Pennsbury to bury their opponents in overtime while Perk Valley got it done within the 48 minutes. This game will be a good one to watch, but Perk Valley will win 35-34.

Upper Dublin v. Upper Darby

Beidy: Even though they play an absolute cremepuff schedule, I believe that Upper Dublin will roll into the next round with a big win over the Royals. The explosive Cardinal offense will go off on friday night, and you heard it here first. Cardinals over the Royals (yes I know Kansas City went further than St. Louis this year but not in District One football!)
Upper Dublin 42-27

Brett: Although Upper Darby breezed past their opponent in the last game, Upper Dublin will cream Upper Darby to get to the third round of playoffs.
Upper Dublin 34-21
