TOWAMENCIN – For the Boys’ Water Polo team, last season saw only loss coming in the final game of the season, eventually finishing second place in the states. Following the team that went 26-1 and won the Beast in the East tournament for the first time in NP history is no easy task, but with the guidance of 15-year coach Jason Grubb and team full of potential and energy, anything is possible.

Head Coach: Jason Grubb (15th year overall at NP)

Last Season’s Record: 26-1 (12-0 in Conf.) State Runners-Up

Key Losses: Brett Else, Shane Hennessey, Cole Palumbo

Key Players: Gavin Hennessey (S), Corey Smith (S)

Coach’s Quote: “We lost our whole starting lineup, so the team chemistry will be huge. Our goal is to get back to the promise land and taste the gold this time. We are in a very tough division and there are very tough teams in the state, but hopefully we can follow up on last year’s success.”

Key Player Gavin Hennessey’s Quote: “We’re doing really well. We lost bunch of seniors so that is going to affect the team chemistry, but there is bunch of good guys who will step up to the stiff competition we are facing. We want to go back to the State Championship and win it this time, while also just enjoying the sport and the season.”
