Kee to fantasy championship: Kee Min’s week 11 fantasy football report

Kee Min, Staff Writer

Have no regrets.

That is what my mother has drilled into me .

She has always been a caring, fun mother. She likes to travel and spend time with her family. Being a sensitive, shy kid I was, my mom had a great influence in shaping who I am now. She inspired me to go out there, have fun, take risks, do what she couldn’t do when she was my age.

She always lamented about her childhood. How she never learned how to ride a bike. How she was always such a goodie-two-shoes. How she never finished college. Et cetera, et cetera. So one thing she made sure I didn’t do? Have any regrets whatsoever.

Under her guidance, I was able to pursue my interests and to dream bigger. I created a science journal as a kid and took it with me everywhere I went. I hosted an art show when I was in elementary school. I even got a chance to explore a new culture by hopping on a plane and flying over the Pacific. It was no use dwelling on the past. You can only look forward.

Same with fantasy.

So you drafted Zac Stacy. So what? Move on.

So you wasted your first round pick of Peterson. So what? Move on.

So Carson Palmer has been brutal in your two-QB league. Right along.

Only thing you can really do is focus on the future. Pay more attention to your line up. Make some moves. Do what you gotta do. You still have three weeks to turn it around and make the miracle happen.

Complaining isn’t going to get you anywhere, kiddo. Just shut up, suit up, and let’s dive in once again.

Players I LOVE

QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons: He has been mediocre at best since his back-to-back three touchdown performances in Weeks 3 and 4. He has thrown for multiple touchdowns only once out of the last five weeks. So why is he on the love list and not the hate list? Because the Panthers have allowed the most touchdowns in the air, that’s why. I’m betting on Matty Ice breaking out of the slump.

QB Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins: Looks like he found his new favorite toy as he connected with the former Eagle for 120 yards and a touchdown, and he has plenty of other weapons in his arsenal, like Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed. Also, no Jacksonville? No problem! The Bucs have allowed second most yards in the air and with RGIII off his bye week, he will look to have a big comeback game.

QB Josh McCown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: He came back with a bang, and looks like the starting gig is his to lose now. While the Bucs are struggling defensively, his team is not the only one vulnerable against aerial attack as the Redskins’ opposing quarterback has the QBR of 101.8.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw, Indianapolis Colts: So the Colts refuse to run the ball. So what? Bradshaw has recorded at least two receptions per game while the Patriots are in bottom ten in both yards per carry and yards per game on the ground.

RB Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints: The Mark Ingram Resurrection Campaign continues as the former Alabama back has stomped the tough Niners D for 120 yards. Even though he didn’t record a touchdown, he rushed for over 100 yards the last three games, and the Bengals allowed the second most touchdowns and yards per game to opposing backs.

RB Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers: Any running back against the Giants looks like a top-15 back. Most yards + most touchdowns allowed. Easy. Next!

RB Ryan Mathews, San Diego Chargers: The NFL is giving Mathews a nice welcome gift with a matchup against the Raiders. Oakland has failed to generate any pressure on the opposing O-Line as they produced only EIGHT sacks this season. I think he is more than good to go.

WR DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins: See Griffin III, Robert. Off the bye week, against the Bucs.

WR Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens: After a dismal first few weeks, Smith has woken up and has been tearing it apart, scoring in the last four games. A notoriously streaky player, he seems to have figured it out: ride the hot streak as the Ravens face the suspicious Saints secondary.

TE Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: What are they going to do, run it against the Seahawks? Probably. But if they are going to throw, what are they going to do, throw it to Dwayne Bowe? The answer is no. Seattle has been surprisingly poor against TEs and Kelce is probably their most reliable receiver.

TE Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers: Yes, this matchup looks great on paper. Davis is only on this list because he honestly can’t get any worse. Hope for a decent number here and you’re welcome to do whatever you want to do with him.

TE Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings: He seems to be back, and up next is Chicago who cannot be described in any way but a mess. Unless Rudolph doesn’t play, the entire Bears staff gets fired, Brett Favre makes another comeback, or Adrian Peterson features on a Toys R Us commercial, you’re looking at potentially the best TE play this week outside the usual top 3.

Minnesota Vikings D/ST: I mean, have you seen the Bears? Oh my, oh my…

Washington Redskins D/ST: Battle of the scrubs as the Redskins look to shut down the McCown-led Bucs that have no ground game.

Players I HATE

QB Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears: This is hating on the Bears, and rightfully so. Assuming he doesn’t get benched, Cutler will have another nightmarish game. In the midst of the controversies and struggle, Marshall is tweeting out stupid things and the coaching staff might as well be a group of two-year-olds with an etch-a-sketch for drawing up plays. He has eight more interceptions than touchdowns, and cannot thrive in this kind of environment.

QB Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins: My dear colleague Scott Vogel has pointed out that I am unfairly hating on the Dolphins this week. Unfairly? The Bills have been fantastic at putting pressure on the opposing quarterbacks as they lead the league with 34 sacks. He has once again proved himself an unreliable option, and the last time he faced Buffalo, he only mustered up 241 yards with a touchdown and a pick. That’s barely over 10 fantasy points.

QB Eli Manning, New York Giants: He literally has one, I mean ONE decent offensive weapon, which is Odell Beckham Jr. Andre Williams can’t block, Larry Donnell is as inconsistent as Jay Bruce, Rueben Randle has been miserable, and the Niners are looming over their head.

RB Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins: Remember when I said the Bills are great at putting on pressure? They also didn’t allow a single rushing touchdown before two weeks ago. The Matthew Berry Curse isn’t going to be that easy to get rid off.

RB Rashad Jennings, New York Giants: It’s just too risky. Tom Coughlin says he’s not getting a full workload and the brutal matchup against the Niners isn’t going to help at all.

RB Joique Bell, Detroit Lions: Good news: Bell is now regularly getting more carries than Reggie Bush. Bad news: the Cardinals are coming! The Cardinals are coming!

WR Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers: Benjamin has been very inconsistent, and last week, garbage time score is all he had. While it may seem like a good matchup against the Falcons secondary that allowed the most yards against the opposing receivers, it also allowed the second-least amount of touchdowns. The rookie receiver has topped 75 yards on only four occasions this year and relied heavily on finding the endzone.

WR Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals: He has been of some quality in the last three games, but this week, everything seems to be going south. Carson Palmer’s torn ACL again welcomes in Drew Stanton, who is a far worse quarterback than the former Bengal. The Lions have allowed the least touchdowns in the air and the fifth least yards per game. Lastly, how is he going to compete against John Brown and his touchdown celebration?!

WR Brandin Cooks, New Orleans Saints: Isn’t it a little sad that Brandin Cooks is their best receiver? Yes. Yes it is. The rookie wideout has been great this season, but simply inconsistent. He put up a good number last week, so you know a dud is coming this week against a very tough Bengals secondary.

TE Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears: See Cutler, Jay. Hobbling and against the Vikings.

TE Mychal Rivera, Oakland Raiders: Two straight games with a touchdown. Calm down – he is still a Raider and completely unreliable as they go against the Chargers, who don’t give opposing tight ends any breathing room.

New England Patriots D/ST: First Manning, then Luck. Sorry Pats, I’m not feeling you guys as I anticipate a shootout.

Houston Texans D/ST:
With Foster, it looks like they will spending less time on the right side of the football. The Browns have been surprisingly solid and will look to keep their division lead.
