Much like Iron Man, the Marvel Universe must come to an end

Exploring the world of Marvel is hard when it comes to a limitless amount of options.

“All good things come to an end”. A saying that is very common but must have never been heard of by the creators of the Marvel Universe.

How many storylines that end with a winner or a loser can be created? Spoiler alert: That is how every Marvel movie ends. The constant war between good and bad makes the distinction between each Marvel movie very minimal. The overuse of the many characters that this universe has created and the confusion from the overloading amount of new characters that have been added have officially made these movies overwhelming to watch.

With a total of twenty-nine movies out at the moment, this saga doesn’t end here. The creators of Marvel have created a timeline of upcoming movies that goes up until November 2025. I’ll be the first to say that the best Marvel movies are the ones that include the original Avengers: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. I also never get bored with the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Spider-Man series. Other than that, the amount of movies and the timeline of the events is very hard to keep up with.

With the first Marvel movie, Iron Man, dating back to 2008, the series has expanded miraculously throughout the years. With new movies coming out what feels like every month, you’d have to watch almost every movie to know what is happening and understand how each movie is connected to the timeline. Keeping up with the Marvel movies is a lot like a relationship, a commitment. I personally would not want to feel this way when it comes to entertainment. I should be able to watch any part of a movie series without having to watch prior movies in order to understand the one that I want to watch, especially with a saga this large.

Marvel does make good movies, but Endgame should have been their end game. There is too much repetition and I am honestly getting bored. What made Infinity War and Endgame stand out from the rest is the plot twist of everyone dying in one movie and then reuniting to defeat the ultimate head of evil, Thanos, in the next.

But now what? With new characters added such as The Eternals and She-Hulk, what more can they do with this universe? The future only leads us with questions. I guess the ratings and outcomes of these movies will determine when The Marvel Universe will officially come to a close. Time will tell.
