An open letter to the Class of 2018

Dear class of 2018,

Its me, Courtney Rowland. Yes, I survived North Penn High School. Everything from sophomore year swimming class, to 1:00 pm seventh period lunch. Despite all of it, I’m here about to receive my cap and gown. Time really does fly, so enjoy your senior year while it lasts.

You probably should go on the senior class trip to Disney. It’s a blast, so try your best to not be the one who decided to stay home and watch all the excitement go down via snapchat.

Prom is a must. Honestly, it’s the best event you’re going to attend in high school!  Plan your table out wisely. You want it to be a night to remember.

Get involved. This is something you probably should have started with your sophomore year or earlier. However, if you’re anything like me, you didn’t. It’s never too late to join a club, start playing a sport, or attend events.

I would also recommend Mr. Berger’s Broadcasting and Video Production class. It’s a great class to get senior year rolling with, because it’s super fun and very hands on.

Lastly, choose classes wisely. Don’t set yourself up for failure by taking certain courses senior year. Even if you are accepted to a college, they can still revoke you based on your final transcript.

Sincerely,

Courtney Rowland
