LANSDALE – The North Penn School District (NPSD) in partnership with the Drexel University Society of Women Engineers will be hosting Engineering Night for Girls on Tuesday, February 13 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at North Penn High School (NPHS) in the Auxiliary Gym.

This innovative program will offer NPSD students an opportunity to hear from ambitious and well-accomplished female students in the Drexel Engineering Program. NPSD students will participate in hands-on activities and small group discussions while learning about four different types of engineering including civil, chemical, electrical and mechanical.

More than 75 students in grades seven through nine from Penndale, Pennbrook and Pennfield middle schools will be in attendance to this event. Whether these students are considering studying engineering in high school or college or just want to learn more about this groundbreaking area of science, Engineering Night for Girls will provide a fun, interactive introduction while offering students and parents an opportunity to ask questions and learn more.
