LANSDALE – The Bridle Path Chorus was named a semi-finalist in 101.1 More FM’s 9th Annual Christmas Choir Competition and they need your help on Wednesday, November 29 to advance to the finals!

The Bridle Path Chorus, led by director Mr. Michael Klenk, was selected by 101.1 More FM as one of nine Division I semi-finalist choirs to be featured in the ninth annual competition. The radio station’s Christmas Choir Competition invites school choirs of students in kindergarten through 8th grade (Division I) and grades nine through 12 (Division II) to submit a recording of a holiday-themed musical performance during the months of October and November. From there, the station selects nine semi-finalists from each division to compete for the grand prize.

The first place winner of the Christmas Choir Competition is determined by 101. More FM listeners, so the Bridle Path Chorus needs your votes! Voting for the Division I Competition is open this week while three semi-finalist schools per day are showcased on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (November 27 through 29). The winners of each daily competition will advance to the finals on Thursday, November 30. One grand prize winner for Division I will be announced on December 1, 2017 during the morning show with Jenn Ryan and Bill Tafrow.

A recording of the Bridle Path Chorus’ entry, “This is My Wish,” will be featured on 101.1 More FM on Wednesday, November 29 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The voting period will be from the time all competition songs are played on  up until 9:00 p.m. that evening.

The grand prize winner of 101.1 More FM’s 9th Annual Christmas Choir Competition will have their song featured on 101.1 More FM during the holidays and the school’s music program will win a cash prize up to $5,000. First place winners will also win the opportunity of a lifetime – to perform live on stage with The Philly POPS’ during “A Philly POPS Christmas… Spectacular Sounds of the Season” show.
