Carl and the Hamiltones coming to Fox29

Carl and the Hamiltones have hit a high note once again.

We previously reported in the Knight Crier about our homegrown student-comprised jazz band, Carl and the Hamiltones. Now, the band has been given an exciting opportunity, as they will perform on Philadelphia’s Fox29.

On December 10th at 8:00p.m. a Fox29 News film crew will be recording the band as they perform Christmas music in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby of North Penn High School. The recorded music will then be played over various Fox29 news/entertainment segments during the holiday season.

The band learned of this opportunity from Zach LaValla, the bass player in The Hamiltones.

“The greatest satisfaction for our group would come from making one person’s Christmas just a little bit happier because he hears and enjoys our music,” said LaValla.

Drummer Carl Hamilton added, “this is an even wider opportunity to spread the joy we have for our jazz music.”

Carl and the Hamiltones begin a new gig performing on Monday nights for the residents at Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale in 2016. The band plans to jazz up their audiences’ evenings.
