TOWAMENCIN -For one North Penn High School teacher in an ever changing field, staying up with current education policy as well as the latest technology is difficult enough. But doing so to the point of being award winning is a whole different level of success.

Mr. Curt Reichwein, Technology and Engineering Education teacher at NPHS was named Pennsylvania High School Teacher of the Year for Technology and Engineering Education. The award was given at the conclusion of the 63rd Technology and Engineering Education Association of Pennsylvania (TEEAP) annual conference. The award is two parted; in March 2016 the International Technology and Engineering Education Association (ITEEA) will also honor Mr. Reichwein at their conference in Washington DC.

Department Chair Bill Michael who nominated Reichwein for this award says Reichwein is truly deserving of this award.  Michael should know as he has the privilege to work aside other previous Technology and Engineering Education Teacher of the year award winners.

Mr. William Waddington 1995 High School T.O.Y.
Mr. Wayne Dallas 1999 Middle School T.O.Y.
Mr. Michael Boyer 2008 High School T.O.Y.
Dr. Michael Voicheck 2012 High School T.O.Y.

These individuals are what make the Technology and Engineering Education Department at North Penn High School such an outstanding program.
