LANSDALE – The entire North Penn community and surrounding areas can now register online for the Spring 2014 North Penn School District Community Education program at www.northpenncep.org.
Classes feature courses in aquatics, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, computer, continued learning, dog training, financial seminars, leisure, photography, planetarium programs, sports and fitness, trips and much more, including an entire section just for kids! Saturday classes begin March 1 and weekday classes begin February 24, unless otherwise noted. Please note that Aquatics classes begin Saturday, March 8, unless otherwise noted. Registration for courses fills up quickly, so it is advised to sign up soon.
The NPSD Community Education Program is thrilled to be able to offer 11 new classes, including Light Saber for Fun and Fitness, Body Pump and Insanity at the Y, Mosaics, Canvas Rugs, Economic and Investment Outlook Updates, Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel 2010, Gluten-Free Baking and Intro to Plant Based Diet and so much more!
North Penn Community Education Program is also partnering with two local events and organizations to bring activities specifically to school-aged children. The 3rd Annual North Penn IRONKnights Elementary Triathlon is open to only North Penn elementary students! Three divisions include grades K-2, grades 3 and 4, and grades 5 and 6. This year’s triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2014.
The Lansdale American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the NPSD Community Education Program present Discover the Future: A STEM Event! All students in grades 5, 6 and 7 are invited to participate in a hands-on workshops featuring STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math on Saturday, March 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Pennbrook Middle School.
Save the date for a special in-person registration scheduled for Monday, February 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Educational Services Center, located at 401 E. Hancock Street in Lansdale. A 5% discount will be given to everyone who enrolls with cash or check during this in-person registration that may be used toward any of the Spring 2014 courses.
Those who wish to register online during this night using a credit card can enter the Promo Code, ONLINE5, respectively. Registrations can be mailed in and completed online prior to the on-line registration night – they just will not be eligible for the discount.
