Prom is in the Air: Senior Prom Ticket Sales Information

Prom+is+in+the+Air%3A+Senior+Prom+Ticket+Sales+Information

Written on your neighbor’s driveway, iced onto cakes, spelled with candles and glow-sticks, written in the sky and on the Pudge’s Steaks sign…it’s that time of the year. The excitement of Senior Prom is in the air, and ticket sales are right around the corner.

Senior prom tickets will be sold in 3 tiers. First, there will be a pre-sale from April 17th to April 19th and the cost will be $70. Next, there is a regular sale from April 22nd to April 6th when the cost increases to $75. Finally, for all the procrastinators out there, there will be a post-sale from April 26 to April 30th, but the cost will rise to $85. Tickets will not be available after April 30th, NO EXCEPTIONS! During all tiers of sales, tickets can be purchased during all lunches and in C-39 from 7:00-7:15 am before school, and 2:22-2:45 pm after school.

The venue for this year’s senior prom is the Drexelbrook Conference Center located in Drexel Hill and is set to have a purple and gold color scheme. Earlier this month, members of the planning committee from the senior class cabinet toured and taste-tested at the venue. Committee member Pauline Gepilano had nothing but good things to say of her experience.

“The ballroom is really open,” she explained. “I liked how there was alot of open space, which we can definitely use since we have so many people in our class. There are also really nice chandeliers, and there’s an outside patio that we can go out to if we want some fresh air. Overall, the room is so pretty!”

As for the food options, Gepilano explained that the menu will be very diverse with options sure to please all types of eaters from the vegetarian to the sweet tooth.

“They have four different kinds of chicken, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, a lot of salad, soups, and a dessert bar which were all delicious,” she explained. “They will also have a vegetarian menu for those who need it.”

If you haven’t already found a date, there is still plenty of time and plenty of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes to choose from (see Mr. Manero for details). Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because it will be the final and most exciting event before graduation day on June 18th.
