Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

And this week the Korner

Is for all of you.

Normally I use it

Just to make the grade,

But it’s come to my notice

People like the shade

That I’m throwing

At this thing and that,

From hallways to ground hogs,

You keep coming back.

It’s peculiar, I think,

Because all I do is complain.

So either you think I’m funny,

Or you’re all insane.

But I admire your devotion

On every Tuesday,

To have so many wonder

At what I might say.

You make me feel needed

And worth all your time.

I’m inspired to write

Nothing short of sublime

For our lovely Knight Crier

Because I know you’ll all read it,

And take the time to search

For my dazzling wit.

But wait, that compliment,

How did it get up there?

A slip on the keyboard,

Maner-bear, I swear.

I meant what I said,

This week is not about me.
