Experience the Luck of the Irish at Molly Maguires Pub in Lansdale

Experience+the+Luck+of+the+Irish+at+Molly+Maguires+Pub+in+Lansdale

LANSDALE-With Saint Patrick’s day on the horizon, authentic and hearty Irish food is high in demand. Luckily enough, tucked away on a corner of the ever-improving Main Street is Lansdale’s very own Irish Pub-style restaurant. Molly Maguire’s is the perfect place to celebrate the season and indulge in a unique style of cuisine.

On Sunday March 17th. Molly Maguire’s will be hosting a St. Paddy’s Day celebration that will include bagpipers, food and drink specials, live music, and even a 6-foot tall leprechaun. VIP passes are available to those over 21 for $20 and include a free breakfast, and a refillable St. Paddy’s Day mug.

Even when it’s not the lucky season, Molly Maguire’s is a great option. The dimly lit interior with authentic décor gives the restaurant a cool European pub vibe and provides for a perfect Friday night hang out or date-night spot. The only downfall is that the food is slightly overpriced, so for those strapped for cash, a dinner is best reserved for a special occasion.

The extensive menu includes options that will suit all types of diners.  Additionally, kids eat free on Mondays and for just $1 on Sundays. For starters, try the fried pickles ($8.95), the Wings of Phoenix (boneless or regular, both $10.95), or the Colcannon Potato Balls ($8.95) which are whipped potatoes, cabbage, cheese, and bacon rolled in a ball shaped and fried golden brown. As for entrees, Molly’s offers traditional irish dishes such as Sheppards Pie ($14.95), Corned Beef and Cabbage ($8.95) and The All Day Irish Breakfast ($14.95) which includes two eggs any style, white pudding, sauteed mushrooms, baked beans, potato cake, grilled tomato, and more.

Additionally, the Molly Maguires menu offers a diverse selection of salads, soups, burgers, boxtys, and flatbreads, as well as a unique “du jour” option for all categories so the menu never gets boring for frequenters. I recommend the Chicken Focaccia Sandwich ($10.95) and the Grilled Vegetable Flatbread ($10.95).

Before you leave, make sure to take a look and the dessert menu which changes day to day, or to try on of their countless choices of Irish Coffee. When the weather finally gets warmer, Molly’s offers a unique roof top seating option overlooking the town of Lansdale. Until then, don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience the luck of the Irish!
