Have A Sophicated Italian Experience At Villa Barolo

Have A Sophicated Italian Experience At Villa Barolo
AP

In Warrington, a few towns away from our well-known residence of Lansdale, is the home of Villa Barolo Restaurant and Wine Bar. A genuine Italian restaurant can be hard to find in the suburbs, but this delightful, unique restaurant will captivate your cravings and fill you with your favorite classic entrees.

Both of my experiences at this restaurant involved parties one being a wedding and the other a small lunch party. The convenient and spacious location allows for elegant parties as well as a delicious dining experience. The front room allows for cocktail hour or casual greeting, decorated with chic and modern furnishings in every aspect of the restaurant, including the bathroom.

As soon as you enter the restaurant on the corner of busy 611 and Bristol Rd, you embrace the sophisticated yet inviting energy that waits for you. The fragrant aromas of fresh bread and wine welcome you, along with Chef Lo, head chef of Villa Barolo who frequently visits your table to offer incites to the menu items as well as some complementary treats for your dining pleasure.

Both the lunch and dinner menus are fraught with delectable options: antipasti (appetizers), zuppa (soups), insalate (salads), Frittata (Italian style omlets), pasta dishes, various entrees, signature sandwiches, and the best option, $8.95 combos.

Other renowned and very tasty menu items of Villa Barolo include Seafood Risotto, Gnocchi, Spaghetti Bolognese, Filet Mignon Cheese Steak, and the Villa Burger.

Combos are served with a choice of Minestrome soup, soup of the day, side salad, or Caesar salad. The combo options are: Spring Salad, Honey Chicken Sandwich, Classic Reuben, Tuna Salad Sandwich, Grilled Ham and Cheese, All- American Burger, Penne Vodka, Traditional Spaghetti, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Chicken Parmesan.

Numerous loaves of bread were waiting for us on the table as we sat down.  The bread was not pre-cut, which posed a bit of a problem because the only knives available were butter knives, but was it easily resolved and the warm fresh taste made up for the conflict. The salad was crisp and juicy, served with a tangy house dressing on top.

Arriving just on time with the hunger of my stomach, the Fettuccini Alfredo was absolutely delicious, probably the best I have ever had. The sauce was rich and creamy and covered the bed of chicken and fettuccini noodles perfectly, in a great size portion. And for fewer than nine dollars, it’s impossible to get any better than this!

The dining experience at Villa Barolo was top notch both times, and I cannot wait to return. Villa Barolo also offers a new take out window called Chef Lo’s Kitchen Take-Out Window. The menu is filled with all of the in-house favorites and even features affordable packages for busy families of four-five people, including children. What more can our taste buds ask for?
