TOWAMENCIN- Students and faculty of NPHS, get your head in the game because we\u2019re all in this together! <\/span>High School Musical 4: East Meets West<\/span><\/i>, the fourth installment in the iconic Disney Channel series, will be filmed at North Penn High School. <\/span><\/p>\n

Filming will begin in the fall of 2020, but preparations for the movie have been in progress for the last year. It\u2019s been difficult for the administration to keep it a secret from the students. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students at North Penn will see some of their favorite cast members from the first three movies walking around on campus, including Zac Efron (Troy Bolton), Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans), Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth), Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans), and Bart Johnson (Coach Bolton). Although the actors are not part of the main cast for HSM 4, they will have guest roles and therefore be spending lots of time at the high school, so get ready to walk in on Zac Efron shooting hoops in the Navy gym.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Penn administration is extremely excited for this incredible opportunity and what it will mean for the future of the high school.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cT<\/span>his is so exciting for NPHS and the district! We have a long and distinguished tradition in the arts and drama and now, to have the honor of forever being connected to a musical about high school…it’s just amazing,\u201d exclaimed Mr. Pete Nicholson, NPHS principal.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the main reasons the administration believes this will be a great opportunity for the high school is due to the impact it will have on boosting school spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think this will greatly enhance school spirit. I can imagine it now, music from the show being pumped through the PA system between classes, students singing in the hallways, it’ll be great,\u201d remarked Nicholson.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, students will have the opportunity to sign up as extras, and students with musical talent can audition for the larger dancing and singing scenes. As final decisions and preparations are made, next fall is shaping up to be a life changing experience for the North Penn School District.<\/span><\/p>\n
